International R&B stars Kreesha Turner and Divine Brown have signed on to open for an upcoming Backstreet Boys tour in Canada. Kicking off Nov.4 in Quebec City, Turner and Brown, both hailing from Canada, will play several dates on the tour which features the four remaining Backstreet Boys — Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, and AJ McClean. Brown, who released her second album The Love Chronicles earlier this year, began her career on the Toronto club circuit, captivating audiences with her huge vocal range. The Toronto-based soul singer writes her own songs, including Lay It on the Line and Next Thing. Edmonton-born Turner, daughter of a Canadian father and a Jamaican mother, discovered her musical roots at 15 when her mother sent her to Jamaica for a year. She stars in a cover shoot of Fashion magazine for November and her songs have been played on shows such as Gossip Girl, Entourage, The Hills and Desperate Housewives. She is touring in support of her new album, Passion, which contains the single, Don’t Call Me Baby. They tour will play in Chicoutimi and Sherbrooke, Que., London and Hamilton, Ont., Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Grande Prairie, Alta., and Prince George and Kamloops, B.C.
