Known for his 2006 effort “Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live” Hip Hop star Lil Scrappy plans to return with a new album early next year. Titled “Silence & Secrecy,” Scrappy teams up with his group Lil Scrappy and G’$ Up for the long awaited effort to be released through Good Hands Records/G$ Up Records. Memphis MC’s and production duo SMG, comprised of brothers Mac Chris and Mac Steve, join Scrappy in G’$ Up along with an appearance from former Crime Mob member Diamond and Atlanta native Jo Dolla. “SMG have their own sound. Memphis has its own sound, Atlanta has its own sound, when you put them together, that @#$% is bomb, it’s gonna explode. That’s what this Lil Scrappy & G’$ Up is on,” explained Scrappy. “We are beyond excited to be working with Scrappy on ‘Silence and Secrecy,'” said Good Hands Records president DJ Truth. “This is the start of a huge 2009 for Scrappy.” Scrappy’s 2006 single “Money In The Bank” peaked at #28 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Scrappy his second top 30 entry. 2004’s “No Problem” peaked at #29. “Silence & Secrecy” is slated for release Jan. 27
