But then I was like, because I do care I have to show up.” Even though Sparkle allegedly told the truth on the stand, Kelly was acquitted of all charges in July of 2008, following roughly seven years of delays. While Sparkle no longer has ties with R. Kelly, the R&B singer says her niece’s father is still working for the singer. “You can find his name on a lot of credits on previous albums. But yes, they’re all still around him.” According to her interview with S2S’s Jamie Foster Brown, Sparkle has moved on with her life. After rapping up a gig with Toni Braxton in Las Vegas this year, Sparkle has committed to finishing a new album entitled “Split Decision.” Due sometime next year, “Split Decision” follows Sparkle’s 2000 release “Told You So” and her 1998 self titled debut.
