Usher’s “Here I Stand” has officially gone Platinum during a week filled with chart climbing moments for Jennifer Hudson, Pink, Jazmine Sullivan, T.I. and the “Stand Up To Cancer” collaboration. “Here I Stand,” Usher’s fifth studio album featuring the hit single “Love In This Club” will be certified Platinum after this week’s sales figures which bring the soon-to-be-dad’s total sales to 1,008,383. The “What’s Your Name” singer recently confirmed that his wife Tameka Foster Raymond is indeed expecting their second child later this year. T.I. and Jazmine Sullivan held on to their no.1 hits “Whatever You Like” and “Need U Bad” respectively on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs tally this week, besting Rihanna’s “Disturbia” and Jennifer Hudson’s “Spotlight.” Hudson’s “Spotlight” jumped from 8-3 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart and has reportedly become the fastest growing track at radio. Elsewhere on the charts, T.I.’s “Whatever You Like” holds on to the no. 1 spot with sales of 145,000 copies in the United States this week, while Rihanna and Chris Brown stay firmly planted at no.3 and no.4 respectively. Ne-Yo’s “Closer;” Flo Rida’s “In the Ayer;” and Kardinal Offishall’s “Dangerous” round out the top ten. Next week, we’ll see how LL Cool J’s ‘Exit 13’ album did as well as new albums from Eric Benet, Kardinal Offishall, Natalie Cole and Kenny Lattimore which were all released this Tuesday.
