LL Cool J, Outkast, Public Enemy and more have been tapped to aid VH1 in counting down the “100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs.” Set to kick off on Monday, September 29th, VH1’s “100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs” will count down the best hip hop songs of all time, revealing the story behind each hit and updating viewers on what the respective artists are doing today. Featuring interviews and archival performances by Public Enemy, Run DMC, Salt-N-Pepa, Outkast, Eminem and Grand Master Flash to name a few, the show will air as a five part series, wrapping up just in time for the network’s Hip Hop Honors celebration slated for October 6th. This year’s honorees include Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Slick Rick, Naughty By Nature and Too Short.
