R&B heartthrob Lloyd leads the pack on this weeks R&B album charts with his third album Lessons In Love beating out competition from KeAnthony and R&B-turned-Gospel singer Dave Hollister. âLessons In Love,â the follow up to the âGirls Around The Worldâ singerâs sophomore album âStreet Loveâ debut at no.7 on Billboardâs Hot 200 Albums Chart, moving 51,000 copies. According to Nielsen Soundscan Lloydâs last album debuted with 144,000 copies in 2006, following the hit single âYouâ which also featured Lil Wayne. In a week dominated with musicals such as Mamma Mia, which landed at #1 and pop acts like Miley Cyrus and Kid Rock each selling at or near 100,000 copies new entries sold considerably less. KeAnthony who released âA Hustlaz Story,â and Dave Hollister who released âWitness Protectionâ on August 5th, debuted outside of the top 12. Elsewhere on the chart, Rihanna, who reissued the hit album âGood Girl Gone Badâ moved 44,000 copies, charting at no. 9. Hip Hop star Lil Wayne moved yet again 67,000 copies of the hit album âThe Carter III,â placing him at no. 5 for a third week. âThe Carter IIIâ has sold well over 2 million copies since its debut.
