R&B/Pop singer Cassie says she regrets not taking acting classes before taking a role in the 2008 film âStep Up 2 : The Streets,â which resulted in what the singer calls âa mess.â Posing on the cover of the latest issue of Complex Magazine, Cassie says she jumped at the chance to score her first major movie role, but now wishes she had waited. âI don’t think I took enough classes. Reacting to five other people is completely different than being with an acting coach.â Recalling the embarrassment of almost running over a fellow cast member when asked to drive during filming, Cassie says âI’m a horrible driver and my first day on set I had to drive a car and act at the same time. I was thinking about too many things at once… I almost ran over the girl that I was talking to. It was just a mess.â Cassie is due to release her sophomore album early next year.
