R&B star Usher will aid in kicking off the 2008 NFL season with a special concert to be held at New Yorkâs Columbus Circle on September 4th. Joining country superstar Keith Urban, Usherâs free concert will be featured across the NFL Network, NFL.com and Sprints NFL Mobile Live. NBC will also air footage the following day. Usher joins previous kick off performers including Keyshia Cole, Faith Hill and Kelly Clarkson. The September 4th show will lead into the NFL season opener between the Superbowl champion New York Giants and the Washington Redskins at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
