A celebrity-filled party hosted by Jermaine Dupri was interrupted by gunshots early Saturday morning. Gunfire erupted at 3:30 AM at the party, held at Atlantaâs Club Dreams, DeKalb County police spokesman Marcus Hodge told WSBTVâs Action News. The event kicked off Dupriâs So So Def Summerfest weekend, with guests reportedly including music stars Diddy, Usher and Nelly, actresses Gabrielle Union and Regina King and actor Larenz Tate. âIâm sad this incident happened because it interrupted a beautiful and loving party,â Dupri said in a statement released to Access Hollywood. âIâm happy none of my people or friends got hurt. And the party continues.â According to Hodge however, a club security guard was struck in the arm. The injured guard was reportedly transported to an area hospital, where he was treated and released. âThe shooting was an isolated incident,â a rep for the So So Def Summerfest Weekend told WSBTV. The shooting occurred after some guests were allegedly double-charged by security guards to enter the club and became rowdy. After being escorted out of the club, Hodge said, an unknown male revealed a gun and opened fire. Jermaine Dupriâs 3rd Annual Summerfest featured four days of events including a celebrity basketball tournament, celebrity bowling tournament and an âall whiteâ affair. Source: MSNBC
