According to Diddy there was no wedding ceremony, ring or any form of engagement between him and his protégé Cassie. After a few a days of tabloid and internet stories covering an alleged proposal between Diddy and his protégé â R&B singer/model Cassie, the mogul issued a statement today calling the rumors false. âContrary to tabloid reports, there is no engagement. This was a complete fabricationâ says Diddy. Cassie has long been the subject of a rumored romance with Sean Diddy Combs who signed the songbird to Bad Boy in 2006. Despite a few âquestionableâ photographs and a semi-break up earlier this month there has been no confirmation of the romance. That all came to ahead this week when Star Magazine received a tip from an anonymous source close to Diddy that claimed to be aware of a recent marriage proposal. Cassie, who releases her sophomore album this fall says âWe are not together, but we are definitely friends. We work hard together, so it makes a good combo.â In related news, Cassieâs video for âOfficial Girl,â the singerâs new single, is slated to hit the major networks next month.
