Just in time for âback to schoolâ season, Circuit City has tapped Rihanna for itâs fall campaign. Starting next week, Rihannaâs new single and video âDisturbiaâ will be used in new ads for the electronics retailer. The singer who recently released âGood Girl Gone Bad: Reloadedâ will also be seen across Circuit City print ads this summer and fall. “This time tends to be stressful time for parents. The idea of leveraging technology to stay in touch with friends and family while away at school is in line with how Rihanna does things on her tours,” says Troy Yenser, category marketing manager, Circuit City. In addition, a mobile offering, available on circuitcity.com, will let users download a free voice tone of the singer and exclusive wallpaper images. The singer will also participate in an online chat on August 20. In related news, Timbaland is ready to record the second installment of his âShock Valueâalbum and Rihanna is one of the artists he is keen to work with. Timbalandâs âShock Value,â released earlier this year became an instant hit spawning the singles âThe Way I Areâ and âGive It To Me.â The heavyweight producer says he would also like to collaborate with Beyonce, Jordin Sparks and Hip Hop star T.I. on the LP according to MTV News.
