Platinum-selling R&B singer Bobby V is set for a “Rebirth” thanks to a recently signed deal with EMI this week. Bobby V, who scored success with chart topping hits like “Anonymous” and “Slow Down” picked up a new deal with EMI which will house the crooner’s imprint Blu Kolla Dreams. The new deal, which comes just three short months after Bobby V was dropped from DTP/Def Jam allows the singer to release his own independent material starting with his new album titled “Rebirth.” Bobby V’s new album “Rebirth,” his third studio effort, will be released in the coming months. “I have been blessed to be in the music industry for over 10 years, and my past endeavors have been great learning experiences. Now I have the opportunity to step out on faith and use the knowledge and experience that I have gained to take my career to the next level” says V of his new venture. Meanwhile, Bobby V fans can keep up with the singer online. An EP album entitled “Come With Me” was released through digital outlets earlier this summer featuring the single “Another Life.” V is also featured on the summer smash “Mrs. Officer” from Lil Wayne’s chart topping album “The Carter III” Bobby V can even be heard on several mixtapes with his appearance on Yung Joc’s latest ladies anthem “Tonight.” BobbyV’s final Disturbing the Peace project “Special Occasion” was certified gold after its release in May of 2007. Although business ties have been severed, Bobby V maintains positive relationships with CEO Chaka Zulu, Ludacris and the DTP/Def Jam staff.
