Pop Singer Fergie is in final negotiations to appear in Rob Marshallâs âNine,â a big screen adaptation of the Tony Award-winning play Nine. According to Variety, Fergie who also appeared in the film Grindhouse, joins Penelope Cruz, Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cottilard, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren and Judi Dench in the musical film which will begin shooting in October. Nine also marks the Grammy-winning singerâs first major role in a big screen project. Directed by Rob Marshall, the story centers around a film director who can’t concentrate on his work because he’s dealing with numerous women in his life including his lover, wife, and dead mother. Fergie will play Saraghina, a lusty woman who introduces Guido to the world of sexuality.
