R&B singer Ciara and Hip Hop veteran LL Cool J are slated to join a number of other entertainers for a video public service announcement entitled âVote For It 08’â. According to recent reports, the campaign sponsored by The Hip Hop Summit Action Network and CPX Interactive will premiere online July 9th. Vote For It 08′, a one of a kind public service announcement, was created by the network and CPX interactive to encourage young people to register and vote in the upcoming presidential election. In addition to itâs premiere on Youtube, the video is expected to run across national networks such as BET and MTV later this year. âWhile the youth vote increased dramatically during this seasonâs primaries, there are still 44 million young people unregistered in the United States,â noted Valeisha Butterfield, Executive Director of HSAN. In addition to Ciara and LL Cool J, the video also features Russell Simmons, Snoop Dogg, T.I., Doug E. Fresh, Jim Jones and a host of others.
