R&B singer Jamie Foxx will executive produce the first season of the VH1 reality series âFrom Gâs To Gents,â with help from Fonzworth Bentley, Master P, Irv Gotti and Danity Kane this summer. Believed to be a male-follow up to Moniqueâs âCharm School,â VH1 heads to the hood to find 14 young G’s with gruff exteriors and unrelenting street swagger, and puts them to the ultimate challenge of their lives â pulling up their pants, checking their egos and transforming them into true gentlemen. Beginning Tuesday, July 15th at 10:00 pm ET/PT “From G’s to Gents” will feature author, recording artist and arbiter of good taste Fonzworth Bentley serving as mentor, life coach and confidante to these young men who all believe they have what it takes to shed their bad boy images and make life altering changes. Hailing from New York , New Jersey , Detroit , California , Miami and Puerto Rico to name a few contestants on the series will participate in weekly challenges in everything from style, etiquette, chivalry, business and more. Throughout the season they will learn that with the right tools, every G has the ability to find respect, realize their self-worth and graduate from G to true gentleman. In the end, the G who fully absorbs these lessons walks away with added skills, panache and $100,000 to jump start a whole new life. Making cameo appearances in select challenges are music and business mogul Master P, food and wine expert Ted Allen, music producer Irv Gotti, designer Ozwald Boateng and platinum recording artists Danity Kane. Although the official cast has not been announced, previous VH1 reality participants Chance, Real, Mr. Boston and 12 Pack of âI Love New Yorkâ have been rumored to be involved in the project. âFrom Gâs To Gentsâ premieres Juy 15th on VH1.
