R&B singer Ciara inked a deal with modeling agency Wilhelmina this week and is also eyeing the launch of her own clothing line. “Modeling has always been one of my aspirations,” says Ciara who is currently featured in a print campaign for Jay Zâs Rocawear line. Wilheminaâs new deal with Ciara will focus on casting the âPromiseâ singer in both clothing and fragrance campaigns. In related news, the singer whose new album âFantasy Rideâ drops this September is looking into launching her very own clothing line via retailer Steve & Barryâs. “I have a couple of cool things that I’m working on,” says Ciara. “The coolest thing about Steve & Barry’s is they cater to everyday people. I won’t say that my line will be like theirs, I want to stay true to who I am, but most importantly it has to be affordable.” Steve & Barryâs also carries Hollywood actress Sarah Jessica Parkerâs âBittenâ line as well as New York Knickâs Stephon Marburyâs Starbury collection. Ciara will also appear in the upcoming film “Mama I Want To Sing,” co-starring Lynn Whitfield and Patti LaBelle, which hits theaters in October.
