R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo is happy with two of his recent tracks, one of which was a complete surprise to the hit songwriter. According to Billboard, the new Lindsay Lohan uptempo track âBossyâ was one surprising entry on his docket; “I gotta admit, we were like … Lindsay Lohan?” Ne-Yo says with a laugh. “I mean, I’ve written for Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Celine Dion and … Lindsay Lohan? But I will say this; we gave her a quality record and she did a ridiculously fabulous job. I was so shocked I had to call her and apologize for what I was thinking because she did so good. I think the world is gonna be surprised.” Besides âBossy,â Ne Yo whose âYear of the Gentlemanâ album drops in August is happy with his work on Usherâs new album âHere I Standâ in stores today. “I actually got to sit down with Usher and talk to him and see where his head is at now so I could write the right record,” he says of the song âHis Mistake.â Ne-Yo is currently on tour with Alicia Keys and Jordin Sparks through June 18th.
