Legendary kings of Rock nâRoll and R&B â Earth, Wind & Fire will kick off their highly anticipated âBeyond The Elementsâ Tour on May 27th in Honolulu, Hawaii. The âBeyond The Elementsâ Tour comes just weeks after co-Founders Philip Bailey and Maurice White received honorary doctorate degrees at the Berklee College of Music. Slated for over twenty-five dates, the âBeyond The Elementsâ Tour will make stops in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, and Atlanta, GA before coming to a close in September. Earth, Wind & Fireâs latest disc âIlluminationsâ scored the highest debut in the band’s history, featuring songs produced by Raphael Saadiq, Black Eyed Peasâ Will.I.Am, Organized Noise, Brian McKnight and the team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Guest performers on the hit album also include Big Boi of OutKast, Kenny G, Floetry and Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child. “The idea of illumination is vibrant and positive,” Bailey said in a press release at the time of the album’s release. “Earth, Wind & Fire collaborating with the new ‘soul movement’ made sense because the thrust of their music is still about playing instruments and utilizing vintage sounds, only in today’s setting.” Earth, Wind & Fire â âBeyond The Elementsâ tour dates: June 2008 6, 7 – Las Vegas, NV – Las Vegas Hilton 10 – Temecula, CA – Pechanga Casino 13, 14 – Reno, NV – Silver Legacy Casino 15 – Stockton, CA – Bob Hope Theater 17 – Santa Rosa, CA – Wells Fargo Center for the Arts 19 – Santa Inez, CA – Chumash Casino 20 – San Diego, CA – County Fair 22 – Los Angeles, CA – Greek Theatre 24 – Livermore, CA – Wente Vineyards 26 – Jacksonville, OR – Britt Pavilion 27 – Ridgefield, WA – Clark County Amphitheater 28 – Woodinville, WA – Chateau Ste.
