Known to many as R&B superstar Usherâs mom and former manager, Jonnetta Patton is no stranger to the music business and today âmomâ launches her independent label Jpat Records. Patton, also CEO of Jpat Management will premiere newly signed acts on the roster – Chicagoâs R&B group Kwiet Storm and R&B male singer Dante at the 30th Annual Bauder College student fashion show in Atlanta. The show, featuring top designs of 22 student and alumni designers, will feature performances from both of Pattonâs acts and will also be streamed live online. Hailing from Chicago, R&B quartet Kwiet Storm is already receiving strong radio support for their single âGet to Know Youâ on stations such as WGCI in Chicago, WVEE-103 in Atlanta and WFXE in Columbus. Kwiet Storm comprises of four talented singer/songwriter/producers who have literally dedicated their lives to the pursuit of their dream. Cousins Duke Terrell, 18, and Lewis “Drey Skonie” Jackson, 19, hooked up with best friends Russell “Romance” Foster, 20, and Roshawn “Slow Mo” Lyles, 20, two years ago and set out on a journey that would ultimately bring them to Atlanta and to Jonnetta Patton of JPat Management. Dante, a 20-year-old Philadelphia native was playing the lead role in the musical stage play “The Life of Marvin Gaye” when, during intermission, he was introduced to Jonnetta Patton. Impressed by his soulful music and acting abilities, she soon signed him to her record label.
