Mariah Carey stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres show yesterday to talk about her recent wedding to Nick Cannon, revealing how the wedding took place and their plans to renew their nuptials every year. The âBye Byeâ singer who married Cannon in the Bahamas last month explained “(it was) mainly people there to do my hair and help me with the dress.” Besides those there to aid the singer who reportedly planned the wedding under the guise of a video shoot, the couple brought three friends each including Mariahâs pal and rapper DaBrat. During the interview with Ellen, Carey divulged her hubbyâs plans to have a wedding every year. âInstead of trying to be like, you’re invited, but, shhh, don’t tell anybody, we’re just going to have another (wedding) next year” she says referring to last monthâs wedding. âWe wanted to be at the beach, we didnât want other people taking pictures, because we both experienced the hoopla of trying to make something into, like, a publicity stunt, which is what everybody thinks and will think anyway,â she said of recent rumors that the wedding was just a publicity stunt. Is Cannon right for her? Mariah Carey says yes, according to the singer he is the man she wants to raise a family with stating âMy parents divorced when I was 3 and I didnât have many examples of what was the ânormâ. But I found the right person.â In other news, the couple may be planning for a nursery even though Mariah’s manager Benny Medina says that the 38 year old singer is not pregnant. According to New York Daily News’ Rush & Malloy one of Carey’s assistants contacted LA’s baby boutique Petit Tresor, who recently worked on Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony’s twins’ nursery to ask for fabric samples and to find out if the designers could work with the theme of butterflies.
