The music industry’s top independent recording artist and Knockout CEO, Ray J has achieved a career milestone as “Sexy Can I,” the new single from his forthcoming CD All I Feel reaches the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, rocketing #13 to #7. The single also scores on the Billboard Hot R&B And Hip Hop Singles Chart moving #16 to #13. The single’s climb was fueled by a 7.5 million increase in radio audience and a major boost, from 67,100 singles sold last week to nearly 72,000 this week. The ring tone for the song also moves into the Top 10, jumping to #8 overall. At radio, ‘Sexy’ is #1 in Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, and Boston while earning top 5 status in San Francisco, El Paso, Gainesville, Jackson and Flint, to name a few. While the video is continuing to climb at MTV, MTV2, and VH-1 Soul, a newly filmed version was added to the BET play list this week in heavy rotation having garnered a world premiere debut on their 106 & Park video program which Ray J co-hosted. He also raised his profile this week by co-hosting The Tyra Banks Show. He will sit for a revealing interview with TV’s the Insider the week of his CD’s release and give an intimate profile interview to People Magazine also slated for week of release.
