Megastar Janet Jackson was reportedly hospitalized after a rigorous promotional schedule around the country for her new album Discipline. The R&B singer came down with flu-like systems, check into a hospital but was released on her own accord. Her rep tells Singersroom, âShe did go to the hospital, but sheâs just battling this crazy flu like everyone else.â No word yet of any changes to Janetâs scheduled appearance on âSaturday Night Liveâ this weekend. Jackson returned to Soundscanâs #1 position on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her Island Def Jam album debut âDiscipline.â Her first week sales was 181,075 units. âDisciplineâ marks Janetâs first #1 Soundscan album debut in nearly seven years, since âAll For Youâ in May 2001. âDisciplineâ is the 10th studio album (and overall 13th album) of Janet Jacksonâs career. In addition to Rodney Jerkins, who produced âFeedback,â the new album brings together an A-list of guest producers, including Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo, Stargate, Tricky Stewart, and The-Dream.
