Former Olympic Gold & Silver Medalist Carly Patterson changes career from athlete to singer. She signed a record deal with Chicago based Musicmind Records to pursue a life long passion of becoming a recording artist. Carly was a member of the 2003 U.S. World Championship Team where she won a Silver Medal in the all-around and helped lead the team to their first ever World Championship. In the 2004 Olympic Games, Carly became the first American woman in twenty years to win an Olympic Gold Medal in the all-around title category since Mary Lou Retton. Her first single will be âTemporary Life/Ordinary Girlâ and the album is due out on August 5, 2008.
