Koch Entertainment artist Ray J and SRC artist, Melissa Jimenez will be participating in âRebuilding the Bricksâ 1st annual Celebrity Basketball Game. The event was organized by Preserve Our Legacy Inc. with a goal aimed to mentor, educate and inform the minority community about the benefits of adult stem cell treatments. Adult Stem Cells, which can be collected through umbilical cord donation after a mother gives birth, or through orthopedic remedies, have been researched to offer advanced treatment of diseases that affect the minority community at a high rate, including Leukemia, Sickle Cell Anemia, Diabetes, Heart Disease, and over 70 other diseases. Confirmed celebrities for “Rebuilding the Bricks” include Recording Artist Lil Kim, BET/106 & Park’s Terrance J, DJ Clue, DJ Self, “The Wire” Actor & Newark Native JD Williams, Buddha from VH1’s “I Love New York,” Multi-Platinum Producers Tone and Poke of Trackmasters, Capitol Records recording artist Red Café, Author Terri Woods, Vox Music Group’s Prodigy, SRC/Universal’s Jae Millz, Melissa Jimenez, Knock Out Entertainment/Koch Records Recording Artist Ray J, Legendary Frank Lucas and many more. This event will also promote National Mentoring Month in conjunction with the Newark Mentoring Coalition. January is National Mentoring Month and the event will encourage mentors as well as provide families with opportunities to find mentors for their children. Activities include Half-time performances, $25,000 text-to-enter contests, vendors, a Greek step shows and various speakers on stem cell research.
