Fred Ross, 87, the father of R&B Legend Diana Ross reportedly died peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning (Nov. 20). Diana said: “He touched many lives and he will be truly missed.I love him very much.” The ‘Baby Love’ singer announced her father’s death to the sell-out audience at her Los Angeles concert on Tuesday night, where she dedicated her encore song, ‘I Love You’ to her late father. Diana cancelled the concert after-party and flew home to Detroit with her youngest brother, Wilbert ‘Chico’ Ross, to be with the rest of her family. Diana is the second of six children born to Baptist Fred and his wife Ernestine. The singer attended the same high school as Fred, Detroit’s Cass Technical High School.
