R&B superstar Chris Brown, who will release his sophomore disc âExclusiveâ November 6, has taken on a starring role as video host for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Math-A-Thon program, now in it’s 29th year. Chris, who visited the hospital last year and is a steady supporter of St. Jude, takes his support to the next level by encouraging students to use their math skills to help children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. “We can all make a difference in the lives of others. I’m proud to help St. Jude. I feel like I’m just a regular person helping out,” Chris tells students. Chris stars in the Math-A-Thon video to show middle schoolers that math and fundraising are still “cool.” The video encourages students to continue to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude in a fast pace, MTV-style video featuring video clips from his mega hit “Run It.” Chris headlined his own “Up Close & Personal” tour in 2006, during which he raised more than $50,000 for St. Jude through the donation of proceeds from every ticket sold. His new “Ford Presents Up Close & Personal Holiday Exclusive Tour,” which he will also headline, begins in December. The Math-A-Thon Live video, featuring Chris Brown, will be shown in thousands of schools across the country.
