R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo has once again shaken off rumors that he is gay. In August, it was rumored that the 24-year old superstar was going to come out of the closet in Essence magazine. When questioned by New Yorkâs Albany Times Union he responded, “Anybody who knows me, knows I’m not gay.â âI’m blessed to have very, very, very real people in my corner. Some managers will not tell the artist certain things because they don’t want to stress them out. My managers are like, ‘Yo, it’s a dirty game.’ I respect them for that.â âI look at that as I’ve officially made it. If my name is in your mouth, that means I’m on your mind. I take it all in stride.” Ne-Yo’s new album, Because Of You, was released last week (May 1.) via Def Jam Records. Ne-Yo has written hits for Rihanna, Beyonce, and Mario Vasquez. He also wrote songs for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Corbin Bleu and Enrique Iglesias for their upcoming albums.
