R&B singer/actress Brandy Norwood is reportedly leaving NBCâs âAmericaâs Got Talent.â Brandy, who judge the first season, will be replaced with Sharon Osbourne. While rumors have swirled that Osbourne was in talks with NBC, a source tells TMZ that the embattled R&B star is officially out — and Osbourne is in. Last December, Norwood caused a four-car accident on a Los Angeles freeway that resulted in the death of motorist Awatef Aboudihaj. Now Aboudihaj’s two sons have filed wrongful death lawsuits against Norwood, and the Los Angeles city attorney’s office is still deciding if she should be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. While there is no timetable for when Norwood’s legal troubles will be settled, America’s Got Talent producers — which include Cowell, the show’s creator — are reportedly “concerned about the negative impact of having the pop singer on the show.” NBC officials declined comment to The Post on Tuesday, but with America’s Got Talent scheduled to return for a second season this summer, the show’s producers obviously need to find a replacement sooner rather than later. America’s Got Talent’s second season will already have one new face when it premieres this summer. Earlier this month, NBC announced that former Dancing with the Stars contestant Jerry Springer will replace first season host host Regis Philbin.
