According to Contactmusic.com, R&B diva Toni Braxton has blasted doctors who failed to diagnose her son with autism because she’s sure the three-year-old could have been helped if the neurological disorder had been spotted earlier. The ?You’re Makin’ Me High? singer and husband KeriI Lewis knew there was something wrong with their youngest child, Diezel, and insisted their family doctors investigate further. Angry Braxton says, “They dismissed me. I don’t know if it would have made a difference or not for him to be diagnosed earlier, but they had a ‘wait and see’ attitude. “It makes me so angry because a mother knows when something is wrong with her child.” Toni Braxton exploded onto the music scene in 1993. Her soulful and sexy voice captivated audiences worldwide and helped propel sales of her self-titled debut album to more than eight million copies worldwide. The album spawned three top 10 hits including ?Another Sad Love Song,? ?Breathe Again? and ?You Mean The World To Me.? It was also met with great success, garnering her three Grammy Awards. Her follow-up album, Secrets, spawned the smash hit ?Unbreak My Heart,? which spent an amazing 11 weeks at the top of the pop charts. Her latest album was released in 2005. Ms. Braxton is currently the resident headliner at Flamingo Las Vegas in Toni Braxton: Revealed. Find out more about Autism by visiting Autismspeaks.org
