Janet Jackson’s boyfriend says her recent weight gain was for a movie role which later fell through. R&B and hip-hop producer Jermaine Dupri says Janet deliberately put on about three stone. He explained that his girlfriend of six years had been due to play a mother in the Deep South in the indie movie. Jermaine Dupri said he was confident that Janet will make a strong comeback when her first album since 2004’s ‘Damita Jo’ is released this Spring.
