The big news backstage at the Los Angeles BET 25th anniversary gala was the return of boy-band-turned-man-band, New Edition. Co-founder Bobby Brown joined his old band mates on stage as they recreated the 1980s super group for BET celebrants at the Shrine Auditorium Wednesday night. Brown left to pursue a solo career in 1986 and Ricky Bell, Ronnie Devoe, Michael Bivins and Ralph Tresvant eventually called it quits in the early 1990s. The original lineup is back in the studio, TV’s “Extra” reported, and there was talk of a world tour once a new album is complete. Brown also revealed he and wife Whitney Houston plan to be back for season two of their BRAVO reality show, “Being Bobby Brown.”
