The first lady of Dj Khaled’s We The Best enterprise Steph Lecor has delivered the ultimate girly-girl visual for her latest single, “Face.”
The beat-heavy single has been lighting up Miami’s club scene for a while now. As a Miami native and member of the Love and Hip Hop Miami crew, Steph knows all about the glamours city life.
Her single “Saturday” successfully climbed the Billboard charts to #38. But that isn’t where the singer’s success stops. Steph was also the host of the Complex show, ‘Her Take.’
If it ain’t obvious enough, “Face” is for the ladies. Steph said so herself. “Saturday was such a raunchy song but this one I wanted to do something more fun,” she explains. “Girls can get ready to it and I wanted to create an anthem for us women when we’re about to step out and do whatever it is we are going to do.”
Steph’s mission for the single is to empower women whenever the beat drops. “There’s an attitude in the song.”
Dropping off the visual on the same night as the LHHM reunion, the blue-haired bombshell isn’t waiting for any record labels to give her approval anymore.
“With tonight being the Season Finale, I wanted to close out giving fans my visual for “Face” — my kickoff single. What is special about this video, is that it was shot with an iPhone and I did it myself independently with the help of director Lucy Sandler. I wanted to show women can take control of their destiny and careers. You can actually, get a good quality video on an iPhone, and make it fun and creative. So, I’m not waiting for a big label to make things happen for me, 2018 is all about getting it done by any means. Salute to all the other women out there making it happen too!”
Steph Lecor’s debut project is slated to be released within a few months via We The Best/Poe Boy Music Group, with “Face” as its lead single.
