London Soul/Pop collective FAUX delivers the intoxicating 80s-vibed groove called “Take Back Time,” the first release of three singles dropping in the coming months. In the accompanying music video, shot in Hackney, London, a woman in classic aerobics gear, coupled with a fanny pack, dances effortlessly around town and through streets.
Written by Josef Page and Amber Simone, “Take Back Time” is about owning your confidence. It’s one of those songs that gets even better with repeated play; The combination of hypnotic vocals, lush melodies, and superb production makes it a winner.
FAUX is a collaborative project centered around producer and songwriter Josef Page. He has worked with artists including Pixx, Raye, Dua Lipa, and Mullally among others, and formed FAUX in the stolen hours between sessions.
Expect more of the blend of early 80s funk and golden era hip-hop, which is at the heart of the FAUX sound.
