Indie R&B/Pop artist Dafina releases the long-awaited music video for her new single “Told Ya,” a track that sees her taking ownership of her power. The R. Steel-directed visual was shot in New York City and spotlights the Malmo, Sweden born singer’s street style as well as the diverse movements of the city. The video also subtly pays homage to women in the 90’s with a laid-back but sexy appeal.
“Believe in yourself and never doubt your craft,” Dafina told V Magazine. “People can feel your energy!”
“Told Ya” is available for purchase on iTunes and can also be streamed on Spotify.
At the age of 17, Dafina, who gained her talent naturally from her mother, a former singer, made her career a priority and gained popularity in Kosovo after winning multiple awards at Polifest. She also earned a spot on the X-Factor Albania in 2012. She has been featured on the late Chinx’s album and French Montana’s most recent release, “Jungle Rules.”
