R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo says he’s a little nervous about his first headlining tour, which kicks off in Las Vegas Thursday. “Las Vegas is home,” says Ne-Yo referring to his hometown and first show on his spring tour with Jazmine Sullivan and Musiq Soulchild. “This is my first time headlining a tour. So thereâs a little bit of nervousness in me behind it.” Ne-Yo’s headlining gig follows several supporting act spots including a brief bid with R. Kelly on the “Double Up Tour”. After the much-talked-about ending of that tour, Ne-Yo says “As the supporting act, you’re kind of the underdog. People expect you to do well, but if you don’t, it’s not as bad because it’s not your show.” “When you’re the headliner, you’re ending the show and it’s all on you. I can’t even begin to half-step.” Ne-Yo is lined up for at least 10 dates this month, including stops in Houston, Miami, New York and Atlanta.
