Former Danity Kane star D. Woods says she’s not stressing Diddy’s decision to cut her from the Platinum-selling group last fall. “I’ve been in the studio working on a lot of new music,” D. Woods told SOHH recently. Much like her ousted Danity Kane friend Aubrey O’Day, D. Woods says fans will hear new music from her this year, the first of which will be a mixtape series. Admitting that she’s been working on several projects since October, including a mixtape series titled “Independence Day,” Wood says “the first will drop in February”. While in Danity Kane, D. Woods helped the group reach Platinum-certification in 2006 with their self debut and gold-status with ‘Welcome to the Dollhouse’, their 2008 sophomore release. D. Woods’ first single is expected to drop soon.
