We have two new albums to get excited about today!
Fresh off their BET ratings hit mini-series “The New Edition Story,” Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie Devoe, better know as Bell Biv DeVoe, release their highly anticipated album, Three Stripes. Th LP is the group’s first offering since 2001, and features appearances from Doug E. Fresh, SWV and Boyz II Men, with production from Kay Gee of Naughty By Nature, Erick Sermon and more.
The set is preceded by the Top 10 single ‘Run,’ the SWV-assisted ‘Finally,’ and the latest release ‘I’m Betta.’
Talking about the album, Ricky Bell told Music Choice: “Us as performers, as writers, as producers we’re a lot better now [compared to their debut album]. Song for song, if you match “Don’t Go” up with “Do Me” or whatever, on a performance side, we’re a whole lot better. We are mindful of where our fans are and where we are, it’s age appropriate. The grooves are mad sexy, the melodies are catchy, subject matters are just right up your alley of whatever is going on today and with relationships. Besides ‘Poison’ it’s our best work.”

Also available today is the debut album, SweetSexySavage, from Atlantic Records signee Kehlani. Prior to the set’s release, the West Coast songstress unwrapped several songs for promotion. The project features a hefty 17 songs tracklist with two bonus tracks.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Kehlani said, “[Cloud 19] was like, ‘Let me show I can sing!’ and [You Should Be Here] was, ‘Let me show I can write!’ This one’s like, ‘Let me show I can chill! And have fun!’ Really, I was just taking it easy.”
Kehlani will support the project with her “SweetSexySavage World Tour,” which kicks off on February 21 in Montreal, Canada.
