It’s been over six years since Keri Hilson released her sophomore album, No Boys Allowed, and although there have been a few signs of a comeback in the past, nothing has actually come to fruition.
Well, it looks like things are about to change. During an appearance on “The Real” (Jan. 26), the “Pretty Girl Rock” R&B songstress revealed the title of her pending LP, dubbed L.I.A.R. (Love Is a Religion).
What does that mean you ask?
“Love is the one thing that requires sacrifice,” Hilson said. “There are so many similarities between religion and love. If we believe this will work, then we will do what it takes, and we will be obedient. We will do what it takes to make it work. It’s religious. It’s like … you gotta be that committed to making love work.”
Hilson also confirmed that some of her new music will reflect her much-publicized breakup from NBA player Serge Ibaka. “I learned so much,” she said. “I’m grateful. I thank him.”
Hilson also discussed her new Lifetime film “Love by the 10th Date,” which she co-stars with Kelly Rowland, Meagan Good, and Kellee Stewart. During her discussing, Hilson admits that she hasn’t had sex in over a year and a half.
‘Love By The 10th Date’ premieres on Saturday, Jan 28th on Lifetime.
