Ricky Bell, Mike Bivins and Ron Devoe (a.k.a multi-platinum group Bell Biv Devoe) drop the video for “Run” today (Sept 12), the first single from their highly-anticipated album anticipated new album, Three Stripes ≡. Lovers of 90s R&B should definitely feel this; even the video reflects the music video style of the 90s!
Produced by Erick Sermon, the song is named after a lyric from Notorious B.I.G’s “Hypnotize” and also featuring a sample from the 1997 single, BBD members Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe sing about being a sucka for love to a woman who doesn’t appreciate their devotion.
“Every time I buy you things, you play the game / You run run run, you run run,” they sing on the chorus.
Three Stripes ≡ is slated to arrive on January 27, 2017. Along with the album, BBD is gearing up for the BET-produced New Edition biopic also set to air in 2017.
