Earlier this year, Brooklyn-native Kojo Stone dropped his smooth debut single “Prove That” which had us eager to hear what else he has up his sleeve.
Today (July 29th), he premieres the video for the follow-up single”iRather,” a song starkly different from his former single. Here, Kojo’s sound gets a tempo upgrade as he uses the “Runaway” instrumental track listed on the Soulection Producer Da-P ‘Free DI Compilation” project as the backdrop for his seductive lyrics.
The sensual video features Kojo as he and a beauty get close in a room filled with low, purple and fuchsia-tinged lighting.
“On ‘Prove That,’ I focused more on my frustrations in dealing with a woman’s insecurities, but in ‘iRather’ I’m not even tackling all the issues,” Stone explains. “We’ve been there done that, now I’m offering a solution; intimacy, love, sex, fornication — just a release from whatever our troubles may be, iRather.”
The release of “iRather’ comes ahead of his performance at The Uptown Soul Lounge at Harlem Nights tonight along with Briana Joelle and Ginette Claudette. Admission is free when you RSVP. Click HERE to RSVP.
