In 2013, VH1 produced and aired the well-received TV movie “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.” Now it’s rumored they’re looking to make another R&B group-based film, this time about the classic 90s male group Jodeci.
According to HipHopWired.com, Jodeci member Mr. Dalvin tweeted on June 18th that a film is in the works.

If true, the film would document the group’s rise to fame in the early to mid 90s. Jodeci consists of two sets of brothers; Cedric and Joel Hailey of Charlotte, North Carolina and Donald and Dalvin DeGrate of Hampton, Virginia. Together, they scored three multi-platinum albums with their unique sound which was soulful and rooted in Pentecostal church. Their image was from the streets, that image manufactured by Puff Daddy. The group disbanded in 1996 and the two lead singers K-Ci & JoJo Hailey formed the duo K-Ci & JoJo, scoring several top ten hits. The group reunited in 2014 with a performance at the Soul Train Awards, and released an album 2015 called The Past, The Present, The Future.
While this hint seems pretty legit (coming from a Jodeci member himself), VH1 has yet to confirm.
Who’s geeked to see a Jodeci biopic?
