R&B/Soul Singer and South Carolina-native Gwen Yvette is back with her latest video, “So In Love”. As the name implies “So In Love” speaks to that deep emotion and fondness you feel when you’re in love with someone.
“We just giggle when our eyes meet/ We’re so in love/People stare at us in the street/ Because we’re so in love,” she sings.
The track offers an inside look into the culture and charm that influenced Gwen as a musician. The video pays homage to family and the city she hails from: Beaufort, SC. It features her mother along with her nieces and nephews because “[She] wanted to include [her] family to reveal a true reflection of who [she is].” The video also showcases stunning visuals of Beaufort’s trademark waterfront park.
Gwen Yvette was featured on The X Factor even making it all the way to the Hollywood Round. Recently she was for nominated for R&B Female Singer of the Year at the upcoming 2016 South Carolina Music Awards scheduled for July 23. Ballots are now open. Keep an eye on Gwen as she is releasing a new single this summer and performing in various cities across the country.
