Chart-topping duo Rihanna and Chris Brown dominated nominations for the 2009 People’s Choice Awards announced Monday. Set to air in January, Rihanna and Brown will vie for at least three awards a piece including Favorite Pop Song and Favorite R&B Song. Rihanna, who is currently on tour with Brown in Australia, received four nominations including a nod for Favorite Female Singer, a nomination that pits the “Disturbia” star against Alicia Keys and Carrie Underwood who are also nominated for the award. Chris Brown, who recently inked a deal to distribute his own line of underwear, has been nominated for five awards including Favorite Male Star, Favorite Combined Forces and Favorite Star 35 & Under, a category he shares with Beyonce, Usher, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Kanye West. West received a Favorite Hip Hop Song nomination for his hit “Good Life”. Jordin Sparks, Flo Rida, T-Pain, Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Coldplay were also nominated for awards.
