Singer, actress and now mom Jennifer Lopez says she suffered a breakdown after years of straining herself between movie roles, a burgeoning television career and recording career. “There was a time when I was very overworked and I was doing music and movies and so many things” says Lopez who recently raised $127,000 after completing her first triathlon in Malibu, California. According to an interview with The Daily Beast, Lopez describes her need to take a serious break after she ‘froze’ on set. “I was suffering from a lack of sleep. And I did have a kind of nervous breakdown. I froze up in my trailer. I was like, ‘I don’t want to move. I don’t want to talk. I don’t want to do anything.’ It was on that movie Enough. ” “I kept saying, ‘I’m not weak. I’m not weak.’ It’s funny what tricks your mind plays on you. I just didn’t want people to think I was falling apart.” Six years later (‘Enough’ was released in 2002), Lopez seems to be back on track, is happily married with twins and working on several new projects including a new series for ABC.
