It’s obvious Mariah Carey moves fast when she’s in love!
They’ve been dating for seven months, but her billionaire beau, Australian mogul James Packer, popped the question last night (Jan. 21). He gathered Mimi’s closets friends and family in NYC at a private dinner at the posh restaurant Eleven Madison Park.
The singer-songwriter said yes, and who could blame her?! The ring is humongous! Jeweler David Marshall told The DailyMailOnline the ring looks to be around a whopping 30 carats and may be worth $7.5 milly.
TMZ caught the happy couple as they left the restaurant after the proposal.
This would be the third marriage for both Carey and Packer. Carey wed Nick Cannon in 2008 after just two months of dating, and they share four-year-old twins Morrocan and Monroe. Her first marriage was is 1993 to Sony exec Tommy Mottola. Packer has 3 children from a previous marriage.
No word on a date, but it could be soon (and private)!
