Veteran R&B singer Howard Hewett is set to release a holiday album next month and he’s brought Stevie Wonder along for the ride. Entitled “Christmas,” the disc features production from George Duke and Earth, Wind & Fire’s Ralph Johnson and Monty Seward. Guests on the album include Stevie Wonder, who provides a harmonica solo on “The Christmas Song” and Jaselle, who does a bilingual duet with Hewett on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” Hewett’s last effort “If Only” was released in 2007 under the former Shalamar singer’s independent label. Howard Hewett’s “Christmas” hits stores and online retailers Oct. 14.
