Over the weekend (Jan. 9), Ciara kicked off the College Football Championship game (which takes place tonight) with a high-energy concert that Ciara is known for!
Showing off her stellar abs, CiCi performed a medley of her hits, including "Lose Control,” “Oh,” “1,2 Step," “Dance Like We’re Making Love,” “Promise” and more. Walk The Moon, The Band Perry, John Mellencamp and more artists all performed at the star-studded event.
Ciara seems to be the most recent go-to artist to sing the national anthem at various sporting events. Just last summer she opened the MLB All-Star Game, as well as the U.S. Open Women’s Final.
Now this evening, she’ll add another nation anthem performance to her resume at the Championship game… 8:30 pm ET to be exact.
There seems to be a good buzz building about her performance just from tweets about her sound check.
Twitter user @AShotOfHenny tweeted, “Well, @ciara is outstanding. Her sound check…wow. Can't wait to hear her sing the #NationalAnthem tom.! #CFBPlayoff.”
ESPN reported Heather Cox tweeted, “Loved hearing @ciara rehearse national anthem for @CFBPlayoff But the best part was seeing her wearing a @DangeRussWilson jersey while doing it.”
The Alabama Drumline twitter account tweeted, “It was so great meeting @ciara We're looking forward to a phenomenal national anthem! #rolltide.”
