UK phenom Sam Smith has officially been chosen to perform the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film, Spectre. The song is titled “Writing’s on the Wall," but sorry – you have to wait until Sept. 25th when the tune will be available for purchase and streaming.
“This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song,” wrote Smith on Twitter. “I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it.”
Even though we don’t know what the tune sounds like, Smith seems like the perfect person for the job. Hopefully, he gives us something mysterious, sultry and soulful!
