T-Pain has previously proven on several occasions that he can carry a tune without the infamous auto tune affect that’s his signature sound. Now he’s taking his unaffected vocals to the ballpark.
Yesterday evening (Aug. 31), Pain graced the Dodgers-Giants game at Dodgers Stadium to supply the National Anthem before the first pitch — and of course, he left the auto tune at the studio. The singer/songwriter/producer sang the “Star Spangled Banner” with much soul and fervor.
