Pharrell brought his positive, playful vibes to the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards last night (Aug 30).
During the live broadcast on an outdoor a stage in downtown Los Angeles, Pharrell lit up the city as fireworks, confetti, and a crowd waved colorful flags in an electrifying performance of "Freedom."
In th eintro to the performance, he stated, "We come to let loose. We come to dance. They try to put us in a box. They try to categorize us, to say, ‘We gotta dress like this, we gotta talk like that.’ But we say, ’No more.’ Tonight, we change things. We will express ourselves and have a good time and let all that go,” he told the crowd.
He also performed his funky hit “Come Get It Bae” in an untelevised performance.
